Noose For Two

Though disguised,
I weep inside
For the possibility
That our love might die
Squeeze me softer,
Squeeze me light
Recognize
my tears tonight.

Baby please,
please apologize
Make me laugh
Make me realize

It's getting harder,
I'm choking on my spit
Please laugh, make light of it

You flash me a wink,
And a casual smile
Then expel
into the everlasting mile

I begin to guzzle every ounce of relief
My heart skipped, two, three, four beat

Enveloping my spirit…
It begins to suffocate
Our love,
Our love, sweet, sweet darling.

How could you not see
The two noose behind me
