I watched you stand there
Making no move to walk away.
You looked at complete ease,
As if you again, were of their kind.
The look I saw in our eyes
As you glanced my way
Said screw it,
F**k all I've been taught,
All we've been through,
It doesn't matter anymore.
Why should I care of your kind?
You mean nothing,
You are nothing.
How can you forget?
They've put you through so much
Pushing and pulling,
Forcing tears from your eyes.
You were thrown from their circle,
They didn't approve of my kind.
I thought you chose me,
Over them,
I finally thought
The countless nights
I've spent
Bruising my knees
And paining my elbows
Had brought forth
Something worthwhile.
But you ditched me
The moment there was a crack.
Didn't you think I saw you
Watching them,
Didn't you think I felt how they hurt you,
How they put a scar of betrayal on your heart?
But don't you know how you hurt me?
Left me crying in my room
Away from you,
Away from embarrassment.
Don't you know that I'll never learn?
That I'll do the same next time
And the time after that,
Only to be hurt
As they hurt you?
