 The Whore

I clothe you in the attire of jasmine
Crown you with a tiara of stars
Bathe you in mermaids' streams
With dew and heady scent
Yet you scorn my love
Stabbing my heart
with a stiletto of deception...
I wonder, my heart, how you tolerate
This wound of deception in silence
And hide her ignominy in a veil of tears..
I am her only faithful lover
Yet she gives herself to villains
To devour her flesh
And demolish her beauty...
