TAKE AN UMBRELLA

We learned a lesson on faith
in grade school one day
Miss Patty told a little story - an example of faith

There was a town that was going through an extreme drought
A church call a prayer meeting the next day to pray for rain

The sun was shinning brightly in the sky and not a cloud  was seen
As families walked into the church

A young girl had an umbrella in her hand
Everyone looked at her like she had lost her mind

Many adult smiled at her and winked at each other A question was ask
"Why are you carrying an umbrella when there isn't a cloud in the sky"

Her reply was,  "We are going to a prayer meeting to pray
for rain-----I don't want to get wet on the way home"

Are we not like the adults there
When we ask for God to move in a special way

Do we really expect Him to act
We can learn from the little girl with her umbrella
If we pray for rain---be sure to take an umbrella

Change happens
drought ends
clouds float changing
to rain in the heavens
dust to mud
