I try to do right by the Bible
I try to do right by my parents
I try to do right by my grandparents
I try to do right by the world but it's hard.
I'm not a saint and I don't claim to
Be a perfect Christian cuz I'm not.
EVERYBODY makes mistakes so let me
Make them and learn from them.
They told me right from wrong yrs. ago
And still they try to teach me that again.
I'm not that little girl anymore,
I am almost 20 yrs. old.
Let me LIVE! Please, let me live!
If I wanna smoke, let me.
If I wanna drink, let me.
If I wanna party, let me.
Let live MY life the way I want too
Instead of living it the way YOU want me too.
They try to run my life instead of
Letting me run it myself.
They keep pushing me away more and more everyday.
I'm a live this life on the WILD side,
I'm a live this life and have fun,
I'm a live this life of mine and do what I want.
The ONLY problem is, I CAN'T
Because this is the life I DON'T live alone.
These peeps seem to run it for me
And I can't stand it. I hate it.
But not anymore cuz I will
Live this life and I will
Live it the best way that
I know how. Life is a dance.
