Standing in the church
Raising my hands to God
Hoping and Praying for
This day that I've waited for.
Sitting down in the pew
Writing the words I
Wished to say to you
On our wedding day.
"Baby, I love you
Baby, I do care
Darlin', I need you
Darlin', I want you."
"Wishing to kiss your lips,
Wishing to hold you tight,
Wishing for this dream
Of mine to come true."
"I want to spend the rest
Of my life with you.
Close your eyes and
Imagine us together".
"I want to wake up with you
In the morning times and I
Want to lay down with you
At night."
"Let me bear your children
Let me take your last name
Let me be your wife
Let us live happily."
"Looking into your eyes
I see the man of my dreams.
Looking into your eyes
I know this is real."
Me in my wedding gown
Inviting family and friends from both sides
You standing in your tux
As I enter into the church.
Everybody is looking at me
Holding my daddy's arm
As he walks me down
The aisle to give me away.
Everybody is looking at us
As the preacher reads his bible
The preacher reads our vows
All we can do is smile.
I can't believe this is happening
So lovely and beautifully
Our wedding has been.
This is our first time.
Both of us scared
Both of us afraid
Both of us nervous
Both of us happy too.
He ask do you take this man
To be your husband and I
Answer I do. He ask do you
Take this woman to be your wife
And you answer I do.
We take the golden rings
And place them on each
Other's fingers.
Now you can kiss the bride.
So lovely your kiss is indeed
Drinking that sweet red wine
Eating that delicious cake
This is the happiest I've ever been.
Someone ask you if you
Will be with me forever
And you answer them
With "I do."
In return they ask me
The same question
And I too answer
With "I do."
Down rocky roads
We will both go.
Through trial and error
We will both face.
But I know that
Whatever trouble we
May go through that
We will find a way to work it out.
To hear those sweet words
"I Love You", I start to grin
As I say them back to you.
We are now newly weds.
We've finally said our "I do's."
