Awake at Night

Broken down, just like you were the first time we met. Full circle now I'm ba were we began.. Laying it all on the line again. Doing again what we do best. So far and so fine just like this road and I,both stretching long into the night. It has taken more than vitality to fuel the flames for a forgranted life. While this time begins reminding me, Not letting me hide all these memories again. The emotion bleeding through every inch. Raising these frozen moments that are chilling my skin. If a must you can find me, I'll be slipping like I do. You have seen me nightly, I've been slipping right beside you. Finding it's slightly seeming to misguide me. Only trying to live for another day. The mirror defines this line and reveals the creases that've lined your eyes. Instilling variants of the same flattened smile portrayed on each rolled up dollar bill. Until at the end of the line, this is the life that still keeps me awake at night.
