Non understanding
such passion is portrayed
and deep emotions betrayed
when in dreamy mists
this man comes to me
what is his agenda?
what purpose does he have
in linking his mind to mine
as nightly our silver cords entwine
enmeshed in the fog of mystery
enfolded in the telling of our history
therein I am convinced is the answer
if only I could get there
too deep the puzzle goes
as nightly we thrash it out
he toys with my emotion
and demands exclusive devotion
yet I cannot break away
and till daybreak he will stay
his passion overwhelms me
and from this madness I'm not free
he leaves me empty
and so alone
to survive the day
why does he do this to me?
