A Single Rose

A single rose sits
On the table,
A beautiful rose
It is.

A long stem,
Velvety petals,
Awaiting to be
Put into a vase.

The dew drops
Still lay on
The petals,
They glisten
In the sun.

Fresh from
The garden,
A single rose.......
Beautiful elegance.

It gives off
A lingering scent,
The aroma of a
Freshly picked rose
Is outstanding.

The single rose sits
On the table,
Awaiting to be
Put into a vase.
