as the ink of pen
long, dark and mysterious
that comes when the stars are up
when the moon is smilin' at the earth
and cool as a wind
for me this night.
must i fear?
must i panic?
must i bless it?
must i curse it?
for i am not afraid
of the night.
and alas when the stars are disappearing
and the moon stops smilin'
and the cool of the wind stops blowin'
there comes--
daybreak among high
God's creation
