From deep slumber I woke up
In this early February morn...
I still could recall,
A dream I have had then...
So unexpectedly,
I wonder why I dreamt of you
When I already jailed
This foolish aching heart
Oh! you must be thinking of me
I got telepathized...
For how many times
You have put me in dreams
When even a chance
Your name doesn't ring a chime
Suddenly, the chirping of the birds
Blew a whisper in my ears...
It's your natal day, my dear friend
And you just turned twenty-five
Youthful, energetic, you're doing fine
Maturity finds your own way in time
On the road we traverse
In this world cold as ice
You are just heading the path
Where I find my way getting back
A big gap in age...
Your first love am I?
When I can only serve as a friend
Probably a mother, not a significant other
You see sunrise in my eyes?
When I feel the sun will soon set on me
In the sweetness of your gaze
A smile it brings my face
When I feel I could no longer smile
On the day you reach my age
At the end of each day...
The passion of the sunset you feel in me
When I could no longer think
But files of bills and responsibilities
The calm in your voice soothes me
Like a soft-blowing breeze
Kissing the gentle waves of the sea
As it washes off my mind of great disbelief
The joy of your laughter
In each passing day it brings forth
A comforting sigh, an utter calm
The thought contained in it
An aura of relief you created in
Serenity in spirit that it might
Be that you are a breathing sight
