Words unspoken, Words unread!

Dear Daddy

Titles on tombstones,
For those who are dead.
Marble,wood or granite,
The plaques at their head.

The place that I stand at,
And talk out aloud.
Where I buried my father,
Of the man I'm so proud.

The fragrance of flowers,
With odour so sweet.
Yet death and destruction,
Lay under my feet.

And as I stand praying,
Another burial takes place.
I remember the pain,
That was etched on your face.

I thank you dear Daddy,
For being the best.
With love in my heart,
I now leave you to rest.
