Sweet Dreams
Sweet dreamland finds a place for me
As blissful sleep comes peacefully
And angels watch most carefully-
They sing to me, they sing to me.
Dream fairies hover near my bed.
Their laughter echoes in my head.
Delightful thoughts their wont to spread-
Bad things are shed, bad things are shed.
I drift in to a field of dreams
And dance on sheets of shamrock green.
Such sun drenched days, I've seldom seen-
A lovely scene, a lovely scene.
As deeper in to sleep I go
I sail the skies toward heaven's glow.
The grief and sadness stay below-
They will not show, they will not show.
All through the night my dreams are there,
And for a time, I have no care.
This is the time my soul I bare.
No need to share, no need to share.
Next day when Sun comes sneaking in,
He wakes me with his shining vim.
But I don't fuss; I welcome him-
This day not grim, this day not grim.
