Hope! Never Let It Go!She was looking into the mirror before her, Namely that mirror was me! But for her, it was not a reflection she saw, It was hope! It was hope that she'd see!!! She looked to the mirror in wonder, And said to me as her tears did flow; ‘I thought I was going to die! But now I know that's not so!' She had a brain tumour she told me, And this so saddened me to hear! But the look upon this lady's face, Was oh, so very clear! Namely it was ‘hope!' That was in her eyes this night! And strength seemed to envelope her! And that was an awakening sight! She was walking in the wilderness, No tunnel of light could she see, All she saw was fear and pain, And an end to her life; unlike me! You see, she told me she had a brain tumour, And of course, they took it away! Telling her that it can grow back, And oh, how she feared that day! ‘I thought that I would die!' she said, ‘If it grew back again! And in all this time, every day, I lived a life in torment and pain!' But then she looked to me and smiled, A smile so bright it was beautiful to see! And all because of the things she found out, Namely, because of things she knew of me! I had a brain tumour way back when, And no, this is not about pity at all! It's merely explaining the night in question, And the woman stood there in that hall! My tumour grew back, I didn't know it could! And there I was once again! Baldy headed, black and blue, And in such ruddy pain! And when she looked to me she saw; Not me, but the hope she needed to see! In order to make herself fight the fight! And stay alive, just like me! I am a firm believer in lots of things, And one thing I shall tell you true! Is that being positive is vital! For anything we need to get through! I am a positive person, Well actually, I have no choice! Because anything less is wrong! So I now use my voice! And shout it from the rooftops! Tell it to all who will hear! That to give up is wrong, oh so wrong! And to make sure they fight to stay here! And so this night that lady; Went home to her bed in peace! Knowing I had 2 tumours and I didn't die! That information gave her release!!! So God as I say moves mysteriously, Through out the lives in which we live! And on this night in question, It was pure hope to her, He'd give! So tell me now, do you believe like me? That God does everything for a plan! To make us see what He wants us to see! And to give us the will to fight, as I am!! I do! Because I have hope!!!
