THE ASCENDING
Like a rose that blooms, she awakens
her wings slowly unfold, unto the golden light.
A new dawn now begins, as an angel takes to flight
Soaring to the heavens, swirling in the sky.
her soul now free, unearth-bound, dancing as she fly's.
An angel of such beauty, begins now her ascent
Homeward bound to heaven, from where she once was sent.
Swaying to the music, floating in the air
now a soul contented, filled with love to share.
Climbing ever higher, behind she leaves our world
To a light that's so much brighter, where she soon will dwell.
Newly born to freedom, rising through the clouds
her feathered wings extended, she takes her final bowl.
Onwards to her father, in heaven he awaits
to greet his new born angel, within his pearly gates.
With open arms in heaven, his love to her he'll show
forever more she'll stay there, beside him in his home.
