SATIATE ME

Friday night was like a honeymoon
You satisfied my desire
I thought about it all through noon
Thought about the passion and the fire

Skin on skin, silk on satin
God made man and woman to sleep together
It brings you closer
A bond to hold through stormy weather

When you hold me at night
And caress my hair
Or just touch my leg
I know you care

I know it's more than sex
Or you wouldn't want to satisfy me
I know you can love
When you set my desires free

If we had more nights in bed
Perhaps these thoughts of leaving
Wouldn't run through my head
There would be no time for grieving

When you go to sleep
Exhausted from love making
The next day, you don't mind
Who does the giving or taking

Because it all evens out
Because that's what real love is all about.
