Phyllis' Fancy~~~He Speaks Gently To Me

HE SPEAKS GENTLY TO ME

Last night as I lay sleeping,
A gentle voice I did hear,
And in the stillness of the night,
I knew the Savior was near.

He spoke to me in a soft whisper,
And said " Child there's no need for alarm."
For I am with you always.
I'll keep you safe from all harm.

I'll calm the fears within your heart.
And speak peace in your troubled times.
I'll hold you ever so gently in my arms.
My child, don't worry~ you're mine.

Then suddenly I knew the Lord had visited me,
All my fears they just disappeared,
And I knew from that minute onward,
I would have nothing more to fear.

My God is my refuge and my strength,
He'll see me through to the end.
And if you but put your trust in him,
He will be the one on whom you can depend.
