Once upon a time I fell in love
a romance of souls, two white doves.
Drawn to each other in a fairy tale dream
a love so intense, the likes you've not seen.
Gather thee now for this tale I will tell
the magic of love, how I once fell.
First there was dreaming a thing we all do
but then we don't think it would ever come true.
I dreamt of her beauty my needs deep within
for a woman to love me, my romantic whim.
But then every night my dream was the same
it seemed very real, I knew even her name.
Her voice whispered softly, to me in the night
from shadows of daytime, my nights was so bright.
I joined her on moonbeams, danced around stars
each night I would kiss her embraced in her arms.
Then came the day that things would all change
for the fairy tale story moved from night into day.
I walked by the river, feeling sorry and low
for the love that I needed at day had not shown.
I stopped for a while, within the water I looked
the next thing that happened is found only in books.
There in the water my reflection I saw
yet in the flash of one second, with mine was one more.
"What can you see here" ? The question she asked
"true love" I replied as I turned for a glance.
There was the woman at night I had seen
the one who I loved, I had danced with in dreams.
We left there that day, on a romantic stroll
from then until now our hearts interwove.
A fairy tale story all born from one dream
it's the wonders of love and it's magic I've seen.
So end my tale of a the way that I fell
in love with my woman, this beautiful girl.
