One Day My Ship…

One day my ship will come,
But I bet you it's got a hole in the wood!
And of course, with my luck!
There'd be no flippin' paddle as there should!

I would be sailing around the world,
As happy as happy could be!
And then all of a sudden, wham!
I'd be sinking and all at sea!

I can see me now you know!
Basking in the sun on deck…
And then I'd feel the water splash…
And I'd be sinking up to my neck!

One day my luck will come;
I'd win the lottery, how great would that be!
Cos then if I got a hole in my boat!
It wouldn't make any difference to me!

Cos there I'd be, wallowing in the sun,
With not a care for me to worry about!
For there would be my personal rescue boat,
And if I sank, they'd get me out!

One day my luck will change;
And oh, how brilliant that would be!
But until that day, I have to say;
I'm still sinking and all at sea!
