the willow wept last night!
the willow wept
last night
below the
smiling moon
while little babies
tucked up tight
gurgled off
the gloom
the breezes
sighed last night
below the
searching stars
while growing
children
tested life
to stretch
their moment far
the branches bent
last night
below the
crying clouds
while laughing couples
shared their love
with ripples
ending loud
the thunder
punched last night
below the
lightning spark
while all
the people
sheltered warm
and dreamed
away the dark
Joy Weare.
