Well Oh, Cor Blimey! Lisa McNight!

The continuation!

Well I can just see it now!
Pulled in by the boss!
Well oh cor blimey Lisa!
The phone lines have taken a loss!
Cos there was no answer to all the calls;
And this I tell you true!
I tried and tried to phone all day,
But I just couldn't get through!

Cos all the staff had gone away,
Oh dear me, what a plight!
Tell me Lisa, did you blush red,
And did you get a fright?
I'm wondering when the Team Leader...
Pete called you all in;
If you had no idea...
It was about the compliment you'd win!

Did he stand there and say your name;
Did he even give a grin?
And what about the rise –
Cos you want the same wage as him!
I can see it now,
Him facing the room full of his staff!
Then reading out the poem for you,
From this mad poet; Cath!

I am glad it brought a smile,
And I'm chuffed you like it too!
Cos after all, when said and done,
You deserved it, you do!
Also your Team Leader;
Has every right to sing your praise!
But Lisa, listen kid,
Tell him straight you want that raise!!!

And when the book is being released,
I'll make sure that you hear!
Well, providing I send it back to them quick!
Or it will be next year!
And there you'll be, your name in print,
Well oh cor blimey kid!
You're going to be famous!
Almost as much as me cos of what you did!

So take comfort in the knowledge that-
You did a good job that day!
Sand that is why I wrote the poem,
And sent it along your way!
And so now you'll get the credit;
That you all deserve and more!
But for now, it's your turn Lisa,
To take a bow and take the floor!

As only you should do!

Fame at last!

Lisa McNight!
