We found the pictues behind the fridge, it was a mystery to unfold
A bunch of ancient pictures old, tied with a faded ribbons gold
Wrapped in a faded envelope, tucked in a secret little hole
It was a very dark old house with ceilings high, extremely cold

We filled the rooms with glowing lights and made all the beds with care
And in our compact kitchenette, we sensed a happy autmosphere
So with our touch and gentleness we cleaned and did all the repairs
Still these questions lingers near, why were these pictures hidden there?

Who were all those people young, with frozen ancient stares?
We sometimes sit to gaze upon their gentle faces in our view
We know they have long been at rest, as the dates attest to '32
May their memories shine bright, in all the hearts they'd bid adieu

We often think of this bright thought, they lived in our old house too

My husband and I found a bunch of very old faded photographs
when we moved into our new home, behind the stove in a hole
in the wall. They are faded but were carefully wrapped
in tissue. We think they are someone's forgotten treasures.
