Beyond the walls of life's despair
When trust in self grows very bare
And other choices are not clear
~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* *
A door shines yond through a distant hall
~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* *
An arch of light, a peaceful way
The glimpse of yet another day
Hope is that door waiting there
~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* *
Which brings with it the strength to care
~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* *
To rise above the world's debris
Becoming all that we should be
Hope shines through tender loving words
~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* *
Sweet compliments seldom heard
A hug can cloak shame's dark disgrace
Thoughtful kindness can erase
~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* *
The harshness of life's sad mistakes
~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* * ~*<~*>~* *
Hope quiets failure's lonely groans
To build for each a tranquil home
And ease the mind to calmness be

To still the nightmares that we see
So seek the gifts of HIM who shares
Hope's second chance to calm our fears
