With clear remembrance, I tell you of my dream
I had just drifted off when, oh! so very swift
I found myself upon sharp rocks jutting out to sea
In the middle of the water, I walked on a ledge
The sea was a bit frisky upon that beautiful day
I felt the breeze on my face, Oh! so very fresh
Then I heard the sound of wings above my head high
A light I saw, a speck at first and to my surprise
It flashed and floated slowly down before it grew large
A brilliant glow surrounded me Oh! so very bright
I stood in awe upon the scene, I heard sweet angels sing
I knew it came from heaven and I scarce could stand at all
The light descended slowly, it stopped before my eyes
A shape I saw the face of Christ, Oh! so very clear
As the waves grew still my poor heart was set a-blaze
With the tender love of Jesus as I woke to face my day
