Crimson rays of the setting sun
Shades of red burns the evening sky
Tired eyes seek the night's repose
Prayer of love as the day slips by

Miles and moutains separate two loves
Endless trust led their paths afar
Gentle winds stirs the flames alive
Serenely guarded by the stars

The tide creeps in at the long day's end
Bits of dreams crashed on jagged rocks
Tear filled eyes search the dark black night
Hours marked by the ticking clock

The new dawn breaks over restless souls
Two hearts join in daily prayers
Grant O Lord, our love prevails
To keep our vows we hold so dear

Note:
My hubby and I were separated for one year,
after my stroke. I went to my sister in
Canada, for rehab. he remained in N.Y. going
through radiation chemo for thyroid cancer.
We finally got well enough to be reunited.
What ecstasy our reunion was!
