SERIOUSLY
You fill my heart
Am I too serious for you?
We can only give a small part
That parts coming through
Maybe it's too much
That I tell you how I feel
I do want to know your touch
Look into your eyes and see the real
The dark brown
With hair and eyes around
That look at me
More than fantasy
I want to see too
That smile I saw for the first time
So happy I just knew
Somehow I'd finally rhyme
Didn't have to read
About you or what you wanted
Just had to take heed
That your face haunted
Me, a long time ago
When you were there a flirt alert
You, someway I wanted to know
Such a happy guy in that blue tee shirt
Your smile is all
It calms many a storm in me
Your hands my call
A rain washing over to free
Comfortable and kind
Man, hotty, and friend
In you, the honesty I find
Blood truth as though my kin
Am I too serious for you"
Do you ever wish I'd be superficial?
Are my words too true?
Am I too nonjudicial?
At times, I am worried
I'll go too far
This talk too hurried
Lose you, bright star
That's shining in my night
That works across the state
Comes to me with words of light
Tell me to slow down before it's too late.
