When I close my eyes
I can quickly see
A list of those places
Scroll before me

Montgomery Alabama
Junior sang of it with pain
Birth place of Hank Senior
Visited in the rain

Waylon and Buddy
Just two of those names
Sprung from Lubbock Texas
And on to lasting fame

Memphis Tennessee
That name with a ring
Site of Gracelands
Last home of the King

And Nashville
Last but no means least
Ryman and Opryland
And country music feast

I don't suppose now
I'll ever get there
But I have their music
Thats really all I care
