BUCKLED KNEES

The first time I saw him smiling at me,
It was the sexiest smile I ever did see;
I turned away quick, had to take a seat,
Had to steady myself, heart skipped a beat;
And you know what? My knees buckled.

Marriage, two kids and a very nice home,
But after some years, liquor caused him to roam;
We'd scream and argue, he'd run out to a bar,
I'd cry in bed until I'd hear his car;
And you know what? My knees would
buckle.

I divorced that man, moved way down south,
Never let his name come out of my mouth;
Got an Instant Message on the Net one day,
He'd searched for me, wanted to say "Hey."
And you know what? My stupid knees buckled!
