Kangaroos In Purple Shoes!

Kangaroos
In purple shoes,
And funny floppy hats,
Clicked their toes
Turned up their nose
And chased the crazy rats!

Wallabies
With bended knees
And great big bulging eyes,
Waltzed away
Throughout the day
And gobbled chocolate pies!

Ostriches
With sausages,
Cooked up ham and eggs,
They shared their toast
With Kelly's ghost,
Who wobbled without legs!

Cockroaches
In gold coaches
Clicked silly songs.
They woke the snakes
With gruesome shakes
And watched them slide along!

Echidnas
With umbrellas
Splashed in rubber boots.
They prickled sharp
'Till it was dark,
Then blew the sweetest flutes!

Joy Weare.
