What A Waste of Us
In dedication to all black women--together we will rise as
we continue to pray and strive!
What a waste of our love
A waste of our consideration
A waste of our inner souls
A waste of the Black womans manifestation
We are crippled at the knee
As we break our backs to survive
Many of our men run the streets like heathens
Chasing worldy nothings and then they die
What a waste of our power
For as woman we are in need of man
No matter the inner determination
Our strengh gives as our hearts break beyond end
What a waste of our essence
What a slap in our face
When our men do not love or support us
And we are cursed as the lost race
What a waste of our families
When we are the original of mankind
Our men treat us with such disregard
Till it is amazing we have not lost our minds!
