When God made woman he made you
For happiness and love
Not sorrows and blues.
The sunshine in your eyes
The radiance of your smile
How I wish I was yours
To fullfill your soul right now
To hold and cherish you for the rest of my life
And remove the bitter and ugly strife.
You would never feel the wetness of a tear,
Or the pain of a brokenheart,
My soul, body, and mind
Would be yours from the very start.
Your dreams would be my dreams
Your hopes equally shared,
I'd lift you high and above the rest
Of this world that has no care.
Others search their whole life through
But would never find the love that I find in you.
If given one wish to do as I please,
I'd ask you to spend eternity with me.
And no matter how hard they tried
No one, absolutely no one,
Could persuade me from your side.
