Rose Most Sweet #290
Rose Most Sweet A rose is but a rose most sweet When laid before its Maker's feet Becomes a sacrifice A jewel of greatest price To lift one's heart, to make one bend To seek the Son and call Him friend To know which angel will He send With muse to make complete This rose-this rose most sweet. No sweeter rose shall one partake Than one which prods the soul awake To gently look within To ease the soul from sin With fragrance from God's heart above So filled with Faith and Dreams of Love That Heaven sent will be the dove When swooned our souls might meet This rose-this rose most sweet.
