 Wishing Upon On A Star

Star light
Star bright,
The first star
I see tonight,
I wish I may
I wish I might,
Have my wish
Answered tonight.

May God hold
My grandmother's hand,
And lead her through
The green pastures of this land.

Keep her safe God
And make her well,
Her soul lives
Within a fragile shell.

May the Angels
Stay at her bedside,
Let them be
Her loving guide.

I am sad, while I'm
Wishing upon a star,
I hope you hear me God
Be it near or far.

I almost lost my grandmother last year. I was at her bedside when she was hooked up to machines. I had to get my cousin (whom is a nurse), to explain to me what everything was for. I knew what everything was, but at that time, I was so upse, I couldn't remember. I am happy she was there to give me a shoulder to lean on. Because if she wasn't, I don't think I would have been able to keep control of myself. There is only 18 months between the both of us, we act so much alike, we should have been sisters. :o)
