we so easily share our hearts

deepest secrets. and within a blink of eye
those very same people would make you cry
just when you thought you found a star
you found out later it was only a stone
so you try to cast it back in the sea
but you would only be casting away a piece of yourself
so you take it and store it in your memory box
and lock it away, to look back on it as a lesson well learned
each stain thats on your heart
makes up who you are
life doesn't promise roses
