SHAME ON ME
You had me fooled.
Shame, shame on me.
You seemed to care.
I didn't see.
You play these games
of mouse and cat.
You flirt, withdraw-
Imagine that!
You lift me up,
then let me fall.
You gain my trust.
I believe it all.
You don't play fair!
I turn away.
You pull me back
And say "Please stay!"
You don't love me.
I hate this pain.
You're not a friend.
It's now so plain.
You're a user
And now I know.
Makes it easy
To let you go.
You had me fooled.
Shame, shame on me.
You seemed to care.
But now, I see!
