I asked this question and gazed into my hubby's eyes
He started to cough and slipped politely past my thighs

There I was waiting on his reply in my bathing suit
When we were newly weds he told me I looked cute

I've found Jenny Craig's coupons in my recipe books
I do believe he's overwhelmed at my seductive looks

Now I know what my Mama meant about a firm, figured gal
I have reached that certain stage and the truth is, my pals

I've noticed love handles in place where they have never been
Before my tiny waist used to fit in teenager's hipster jeans

It's so fustrating not to eat all that's on those trays
While visiting Malls and ice cream shops, my hunger pangs betray

The promise I make everyday, to wash the pounds away
I never again hear my hubby say,
"Babe you're fine! I want you to stay that way!"

Does it come with the passing time, the middle age spread?
I guess I'll have to diet until the day I am dead
