How scared we were when we first met
Two broken hearts faced a sudden threat
As love awoke and stirred its head
We both turned our backs on it instead
But persistence won on true love's side
Our paths in life would always collide
Tossed together by the same circle of friends
We met each other time and again
What began as friendship would soon accelerate
Our bonds of love can never disintegrate
