As I Try

To seduce you into
my forever,
leave you the keys
to all my rooms,
to enter as you
please, when you please,
your friend,

I'll always
be here, eager
as now,
devoted,
lighting my candles,
stirring a pot of words,
simmering always,
a Sunday feast
you can always
come home,

getting us through
the nights, by all
means peaceful,

worlds apart,
next door,

a couple of tin cans,
wire.
