Poets Table
At 'Poets Table'
I am able
To sit a while
And dream!
The corner fire
Burns brightly
Casting heat
In streams!
The walls smile
Down upon me
From poets
Of the past!
I feel their thoughts
And hear their heart
Their rhythm
Beating fast!
In the corner
On a pedestal
Stands a book
Singing rhyme!
I thumb it as
I strongly sense
A long gone
Living time!
I hold my pen
And paper
And let it join
Their muse!
These poets from
The past smile down
All looking
Quite amused!
