Poetry For Everyday People

Kicking Around Time

Is one person's fate
another's destiny?
Can our spirits
find our souls?

Did I say the same
thing twice?

fate I feel
has an end,
we will meet our fate,

destiny seems
timeless, not
necessarily reachable,
a wrong turn in life
can alter destiny,

spirit boarders
on the verge of living,
weaving in and out of
true glimpses of magic,

soul is specific,
belonging to one,
deep within, our
core, our last chance,

Websters dictionary
can't help here,
computers don't have
a shot,

our eyes,
the soft ticking
of our hearts,
our instincts,
our experiences,
the messages sent
through the bottoms
of our feet, the deepness
of our search, the capacity
of our facility,

meditating
with our eyes closed.
