LOVING ALONE

Love doesn't have to be kisses
It's not the romance one misses
The trail to it's door
Is often rat-trap poor

It will catch you off guard
Where it's distant and hard
May make you cry
As you love a guy

Who does not want to love you back
As you write him letters that attack
Where he lives
To whom he gives

If he's not giving his love to you
How can he say he was true
I can love him alone
While he keeps his heart as a stone

That's what I have to do now
He will come back somehow
Men always seem to
As here alone, I'm the one who loves you.
