A Fairies Friendship Earned
sigs by skinny
Hear me my children
its time now for sleep
under the covers
and don't make a peep
Hear now my story
of a magic place
and of a fairy
known simply as Grace
She was a prankster
what jokes she did play
thinking them funny
she laughed night and day
But No one else laughed
the fairies were mad
some feelings were hurt
but some were just sad
She gave one a wart
another big ears
but she never saw
them shedding big tears
She gave one big feet
another a tail
but she never heard
a single one wail
One day they backfired
her jokes went astray
she lay in peril
of her jokes that day
Fairies were fed up
and they had her cursed
compassion released
the magic reversed
They turned her purple
then turned her hair green
and gave her a nose
that looked like a bean
Now, when with magic
she spun like a top,
it all would back fire,
she'd turn 'to a mop!
But she saw no smiles
no laughter she heard
then they let her go
not saying a word
"I really must change,"
she thought through her tears,
"and right all the wrongs
I've done through the years!"
She lent each a hand
found goodness of heart
each Fairy agreed
she'd made a fine start
She worked at kindness
compassion she found
sharing true laughter
with no jokes around
Do unto others
a lesson well learned
jokes now forgotten
their friendship she earned
