Poetry For Everyday People

I'll Meet You At Time Travel

I guess my need
to kiss you is as
my need to smell flowers,

I don't see you
like most, I know
all of you, not just
your eyes, or your favorite
drink, not so much what
I know about you as much as
what I don't, chance dice roll
for magic, the sound your heels
make in your flip flops,

home in your bed, on your sofa,
your chair, at work going through
the motions, something big internally,
life changing, lit fuse, freed emotions
behind locked doors, I think of you taking
a bath, a shower, spots on your back you can't
reach, spots that haven't been touched, places
all over your body need kissed,

I can't help I see all of you,
from the top of your head to
the bottoms of your feet, I don't
wanna miss anything, the look on your
face, your vibe, I am aware, lay your
head here, I'm here to kiss your need, guard
your secrets, I can't bare to think of you
walking home alone, driving home alone,

sound of your shoes coming off, keys hitting
the kitchen counter, microwave, TV, bed, TV,

too tired to read, arms around a pillow,
I'm here writing about you.
