I had no idea of love you know!
Didn't know how it felt at all,
But I thought at one time I was in love,
But I wasn't, and it took a fall!
And I was hurt so deeply you know!
The pain was greater than it could be,
Because I thought that I was in love,
But I wasn't, and it's only now that I see!
I had no idea of love you know!
Wasn't used to being pampered in life,
You see, I thought that I'd been in love,
But I wasn't, I was simply; a wife!
And I was hurt by words and deed you know!
Things said things that cut me to the quick!
That wasn't love, as I knew it then and now!
But I stayed and all it did was make me sick!
And some people are embarrassed you know!
Some people are allergic to a wheelchair!
They run a mile, or hide you away!
But; me and my wheelchair are a pair!
I had no idea of love you know!
Because I have never felt like I do,
And this is true love, oh but it is;
And that love-light comes shining through!
And love is a wondrous thing you know!
It shows you the world in a different hue!
For now I see the delicate rose in bloom;
And with love, you can see it too!
