A Hearts Journey (The poem)
Some say that I will never change
That my life is a waste of time
True, I have made poor decisions
and squandered or spent every dime
But I have an awesome Savior
who will never give up on me
Unlike so many weak people
When they must face diversity
When one doesn't live up to their
unreasonable expectations
They tend to turn their pious back
with a self gratification
They don't posses the Godly love
for a brother in desperate need
Unless it brings them much glory
for doing each and every deed
But I will thank those who did try
to give my life a fresh new start
And pray for all those earnestly
who sadly wanted us to part
So I will keep on moving on
My sweet Jesus with me in tow
Till I find the right kind of place
where the love in my heart can grow
And when I find that special place
I'll look back and give a smile
at the ones who did choose too
"in my shoes" walk the extra mile
When I find that my hearts journey
has finally come to an end
I'll ask God to bless family
and those I call my faithful friend
When I first gaze upon Jesus
no doubt He will ask "whats wrong?"
I'll run into His loving arms
and cry out "what took so long?"
