At dawn I awoke too excited to sleep
My honey had swept me off my feet
With an invitation to go on a champagne ride
High in a hot air balloon with him by my side
It was the day before our wedding and I did not suspect
As he told me of this gift I did not expect
With much excitement I dressed my best
To tell the truth I was highly impressed
My future husband enjoyed to knock me off my feet
With gifts of surprises which I think was sweet
So we climbed in with my heart racing fast
As white clouds in the sky were sailing past
I felt like an eagle for the first time in my life
How very happy I was going to be as his wife
A tray of appetizers were another surprize
Across the blue sky the balloon did rise
We nibbled and drank champange with the birds
At such beauty I was lost for words
That day was unforgettable for both of us
If you've not tried it, friends, I say you most!
