It`s Been
Last year I said that you would find
A man who`s clean and good and kind
Strangely prophetic, you have found
A man who wants to stick around
Heal your pain and hold you tight
Loving you with all his might
Life is lived on bumpy road
Now my dear you share the load.
Yes life still gives you hurt or pain
But weigh your losses `gainst the gain
God gives us joy and sometimes tears
But look again at all the years
For every sorrow there`s a smile
To help you walk another mile
So `though the bends in life are sharp
God never leaves us in the dark.
If life wasn`t sometimes snappy
How would we know we were happy
On this very special day
I wish you joy in every way
Look forward now work as a team
The past is dead, it`s gone, it`s been.
