Reunited
Thinking back, could I feel much older?
a life that had some very wild times
Can they tell what I'm getting over now?
see it's been so much I lost count
in time, in this space
I think of you often
wondering if your hopes have won
have you ever settled?
I hope not, you were never second best
so I know your heart, inch by inch
I see you sometimes so far ahead
you smile as if you won't leave me behind
so don't leave now
no not forever
in my mind stay close
in my heart stay ready
love me always
yes love me tender
we will always have yesterday
we will always have memories
don't make me hunger
part from me never
hope and love are the threads
that will keep us together
and I know I still feel you
not a day goes by
that I don't wish on stars
and throw prayers to the skies
that one day we shall come to the road
not behind, nor ahead
but beside of each other in reuniting love
