Reflections of My Perceptions

caution

around my heart there is built a wall

so before you think about climbing it, beware you may fall

you may find yourself in love, thinking he's not so bad at all

you may find yourself in pain, disgusted, appalled

when experiencing first love, we are totally aborbed

happiness ensues once we wash up on its shores

but we must be cautious and realize the danger of its draw

for it may lead us out to sea, never to see no more

and i know you have been wounded, your heart has been through war

i can't teach you a thing about pain, but as your friend i still can warn

you know the very thought of you warms me to my core

and the last thing i want is to be another sad chapter in that book of yours
