Irene's Treasure - Echoes of My Heart
^*^*^* Empty Cradle ^*^*^*
I've heard a lot about our little angel who died
He left in a hurry while my Mother cried
My brother lived a few hours after his birth
A precious cherub fell from heaven in error on earth
He followed in my footsteps the middle child
Mom said at his death on his face was a smile
His siblings often gather together with love
Though our parents have gone to their rewards above
With our brother they worship the King on His throne
What a wonderful son he would have been had he grown
An empty cradle was there in his room so cold
A memory was all that mother could hold
She gave him the noble name of Manuel
Knowing God was calling her babe home to dwell
